WIND / ANEMOMETER
GENERAL The most common is the three-cup rotor or fan anemometer. It should be installed at the top of a two metres height pole.
  MEASUREMENT SPECIFICATIONS Accuracy of wind measurements by the three-cup or fan anemometers is usually within ? 0.5m.s-1, which is considered acceptable for evaporation measurements.
  TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Range : 0.3 to 50 or 60 m.s-1
Accuracy : 0.5 m.s-1
Threshold : 0.2 m.s-1
 
 


WIND VANE
GENERAL Designed for recording wind directions.
  MEASUREMENT SPECIFICATIONS The vane should be installed in such a way that it indicates the direction from where the wind is blowing.
  TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS Scale : O to 360
Accuracy : 5°
Threshold : 0.5 Frequency of chart record (indicate on order) :
- drum recorder : daily, weekly,
- strip chart : 2 weeks to monthly or more (paper speed selectable from 10 to 20mm/h)
  The anemometer and vane are generally mounted in a single apparatus, with a strip chart recorder.
